I live in Crested Butte, CO where I train for skimo and trail running. I’ve been part of the U.S. Skimo National Team since 2017 and competed in the 2026 Olympics. When I’m not training or racing I work as an instructor at the Adaptive Sports Center where we provide outdoor activities for people with disabilities.

Landon Jakob

Landon Jakob was born in Salt Lake City, Utah and still calls the Wasatch home. Looking for winter cross-training for high school mountain bike racing, Landon joined Silverfork Skimo in 2022, and quickly discovered that this was his true passion. Ever since, he has trained specifically for skimo and is currently entering his 4th consecutive season on the USA Skimo National Team. Landon is currently pursuing his Bachelor of Science at the University of Utah, studying Quantitative Analysis, as well as minoring in French and Entrepreneurship. Landon trains for skimo in the summer by biking and trail running. In his free time, he also enjoys climbing and technical ski mountaineering. Some of Landon’s proudest accomplishments are a silver medal in the ISMF Youth World Championships Mixed Relay in 2025, as well as a successful summit and ski of Denali’s Messner Couloir in the spring of 2025. Landon is excited and proud to be a member of the AAC to continue working towards USA Skimo’s success.
